I called multiple places to see if someone could come look at my furnace, which was acting up on one of the coldest days this winter. Most places were scheduling 3 to 4 days out, which is understandable this time of year, but TNT was able to come check it out same day, within 2 hrs of the call. Long story short, I needed a replacement. Shakir and Samuel were amazing to work with. I had a new furnace installed and running the next day. They made me feel like I was their top priority and I am grateful to have found TNT. 5 STARS! Read more
I decided to take advantage of the mailer coupon for a discounted inspection of my furnace/AC system this week, as gas prices are really high and I figured I want to make sure my furnace is running as efficiently as possible. The technician tried to convince me that my inducer draft motor was bad and "guarantees" it is about to fail. His analysis was based on his clamp-on ammeter and said it was supposed to measure 120 volts. I didn't make him aware that I have both electronics technician and electrical engineering degrees. So I questioned his measurements and how he was trying to measure voltage from the clamp around the wire, but he was so fast-talking and convincing that I let it go for the time being. I did say "you're supposed to be measuring current right now", after which he switched the meter to current and tried convincing me that the reading was still bad, which didn't check against the amperage rating on the motor's sticker. Long story short I did some research on how to fully test this motor and used my own meter later and everything checks out fine. The estimate for replacement of this motor was $1500. One can purchase the entire inducer draft motor assembly online for ~$250. I figured I'd buy one just in case, because I understand it's game over for heat if that goes out. I had used TNT a couple of years ago to relocate my AC line set and they did a fine job with that. After this week's experience however with these preventative visits, I am convinced they try to find something wrong and the estimate was totally unreasonable in my opinion. The technician also kept trying to sell me on becoming a "member" and that would save me around $230 off the $1500 estimate. No thanks, I'll do it myself and the money spent on the inspection I count as well spent as to knowing which HVAC companies around here are honest and dishonest, because it's hard to find a good one. I have used four different ones at this house and can recommend the one who is honest and helpful, but it isn't TNT. Read more
About two months ago we had our HVAC replaced and had a humidifier installed by TNT. Shakir and several other technicians spent a couple of days removing the old and installing the new. Shakir was very professional but also personable with us and we were very confident in his expertise and service and the new system he installed. Today, around 2:30pm while in the basement, I noticed water all over the floor under the humidifier. It was leaking from the unit itself. I immediately called TNT and was told the earliest service appointment was Friday, June 23. I said โbut itโs leakingโ. I was also told the dispatcher would be contacted to see if someone could come out sooner. At 2:51, I got a text saying a technician would be out between 2:00 and 4:00. I then got a phone call from the dispatcher stating that Shakir was about 7 minutes away and would be here shortly. Shakir and another man showed up at 3:07 pm, quickly discovered there was a clog in the line on the humidifier and unclogged it. Shakir also suggested that the humidifier be shut off during the spring/summer months so the coil would not wear out. I deferred to his expertise and left it off. He showed me what it should be set to in the fall/winter months when the heater runs and would send us a email with the instructions. Then they were on their way by 3:30 pm. I am very appreciative of the service we received so quickly and the recommendations from Shakir. Read more
Shakir is amazing!! He is very professional and friendly! He arrived on time, took the time to explain things to my husband, and explained the why and the how. Shakir is very knowledgeable and it shows. This is our second time using TNT and we absolutely recommend them!! Read more
We've used TNT for a couple years and they were AMAZING at the beginning. However, lately the service has gone downhill. They're always booked really far out, which I understand, but when your AC isn't working, that's not ideal! Most recently, we had a tech come out to look at our AC because the fan was blowing, but no air. It turns out that our breaker had tripped (which we now know should have been a red flag to the tech) and the tech made us feel really stupid about it, even asking if we'd flipped the breaker ourselves and only spent about 15-20 minutes at our house. A few days after that visit, the breaker kept tripping, but TNT couldn't get us in for another 2 weeks, so we called another HVAC company. Turns out our unit just needed a deep clean. The new company said that any AC tech should have caught the issue with a very basic amount of investigation because an AC unit tripping the breaker is always a big deal. Lesson learned. I really loved TNT, but after that and a few similar experiences in the last 6 months, we've moved to a different company. In this economy, we just can't afford to pay the $99 service fee for no work done. Read more
First things first I originally contacted Titus Electrical who referred TNT Home Services. Good call! I suspected that my 25 year old A/C unit was dying. Shakir was on time for the inspection and proposed several options for replacement. We chose a new unit which was installed two days later by Nikita and Valeri. The unit is operating perfectly and does not continually cycle like the old unit did. The new unit is operating perfectly and we should be comfortable in the hot days ahead with a lower utility bill. I would recommend using this business for your A/C needs. Thank you TNT. They were responsive and Victoria was a great coordinator during the process! Read more
Called due to AC issues, (Wed), fan blowing but no cold air. They confirmed a time, we had 1 of our adult kids go to the house to wait since we were still coming home from work, they never showed up. Then after several hours they rescheduled for next day. Again, had one of the kids home, since we were unable to rearrange our work schedule to accommodate their reschedule (Thurs). Tech came over, told us that we needed to NOT program our thermostat, just set a temp and put it on "HOLD" indefinitely at the temp we wanted. He did that and also disconnected the "water overflow warning" wire, saying it was not needed in CO. We paid and even bought into their "membership service" option for the extra $$. ( supposed to get priority on calls and 2x yr. furnace and AC checks). Initially AC ran ok, then a few hours later started doing the same thing as before. Contacted T&T again the next day, (Fri.), was told they would call us back in 30 min. to set up service....NEVER HEARD FROM THEM...NOTHING AT ALL! All weekend the AC system, which is only 3 years old, was overheating-from trying to run on "HOLD" the entire time and again not cooling. I want to adjust this review to something positive, and am holding out hope that they come through this am..(Mon). I will wait and see and possibly revise this IF they do the right thing. Read more
